CFC-O Unique Programs

Electronic Giving through Credit Card and Debit Card for the 2009 Campaign

The credit card and debit card program is the CFC-O's fully automated giving option. Contributors wishing to donate can access the electronic pledge card via our website, www.cfcoverseas.org, by clicking on the "Search & Pledge" menu option on our homepage. They can choose from a onetime donation or a reoccurring monthly allotment.

The user-friendly instructions guide contributors through selecting the charity or charities of their choice and entering their personal and contact information to create the electronic pledge card. Pledges given via credit card or debit card are automatically processed online.

There is a limit of 2% of base salary on credit card giving. You may give as much as you want through the pledge card using cash or checks as additional options. The Manage system will automatically be updated for unit award purposes, and CAPOs will receive an e-mail notifying them of any credit card contributors who qualify for an Eagle Club award. Contributors may print a copy of the completed pledge card for their own records.

Online Pledge Assistant

As a first step toward achieving comprehensive online giving, the CFC-O has developed and implemented a way for contributors to fill out an electronic pledge. The electronic pledge card can be accessed via our website, www.cfcoverseas.org, by clicking on the "Search & Pledge" menu option on our homepage. Contributors can then follow the user-friendly instructions to select the charity or charities of their choice and enter their personal and contact information to create the electronic pledge card.

Because the CFC-O is not connected to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) system, this is not a fully automated pledge system. Contributors must print the electronic pledge card and turn it in through the normal CFC volunteer chain of command. Additionally, the pledge card must be signed in order for finance to begin a payroll allotment. Volunteers should handle these printed versions of the pledge card in exactly the same manner as the triplicate hard copy versions: one copy needs to go to the appropriate finance office (for payroll allotments), one copy is saved in the CAPO Unit Report Envelope as the audit copy and the third copy is returned to the donor as a receipt.

U.S. Based Deployed Troops Local Giving Program

The Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program applies only to U.S.-based troops deployed to the areas of Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Qatar.  A contribution in the MWR box on this pledge card will be returned to your stateside installation's MWR. The MWR program must be a participating organization in your stateside CFC in order to receive your donation. Important: you must identify your stateside post, camp, base, or station and state in the space provided.
